Sponza Palace
Not a Palace at all. This charming little building housed the mint and was also used as a customs house.
With its ogee windows on the main façade you can see the Venetian influence in its design.

We paid to visit this museum here and it is fair to say that we were a little underwhelmed. The city’s Historical Archive consisted of photocopies of documents with little or no explanatory notes. Very poor.
This renovated courtyard was not memorable.
