Malta 2005
We had a very good week’s holiday with our friends, Mary & Martin. Unfortunately we went in early March & the weather was very cold. Not how I remember it as a little boy growing up in Malta.
We rented a villa in Mellieha Bay, which as a kid we often went to – it being one of the few sandy beaches in Malta. It was also a short bus ride from Birkirkara, the town where we lived for a while when I was growing up in Malta. Fond memories!
When Ann & I had a family holiday with the kids in 1988, we stayed in an hotel in Mellieha Bay on the far side in the picture. Just about all the buildings in the photo on the right were not there when I was young.
