Sparse, alien & very laid back. The countryside is weird too!

The Berbers have been living a troglodyte existence for some 400 years. A combination of defensive measures & practical - it is cooler underground.

The central pit of a troglodyte home is typically about 7 metres deep & 10 metres round with the main caves leading off it.
