After Vietnam and particularly Laos, I am afraid that I did not enjoy Cambodia. Obviously the only reason we visited the country was to see Angkor. However the people we met (we had never ever written to complain of a tour guide before) and what we saw of the living conditions did not inspire me. I think that the country still needs to come to terms as to how it allowed the Khymer Rouge genocide.  Hardly anyone has been called to account. Shame.
