Some of Singapore's most impressive architectural achievements are to be seen from the Marina Bay area. The floating pontoon is in front of the seating gallery on the right of this photo.
A very unusual design of bridge takes you across the bay. In the background are the three distinctive towers of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel with a boat shaped structure on top.
Another odd building. This combined Arts & Science complex is in the shape of a Lotus flower.
(I never did find out why the name of the museum misses out the conjunction, "and".)
The tacky spelling of this shopping mall is matched by the internal extravagance of its shops and public spaces.
Singapore is a very wealthy city / country and it shows.
The recently built Singapore Flyer is some 30 metres higher than the London Eye. Tremendous views from it.
The two main Domes of The Gardens By The Bay are to the left with some of the Supertrees on the right.
This photo also shows some of the vast number of container ships waiting to dock.
