Rector’s Palace

This building has been blown up a couple of times & was also damaged in the 1667 earthquake. No wonder then that the architectural styles show a lack of continuity. Essentially this early Gothic building has had Renaissance and Baroque make-overs.

Who was responsible for mis-aligning the first floor windows above the arches on the main West Façade?

Ann in front of the Gate of Charity. A charming detail to the side of the front porch.

The Atrium

Behind Ann is a bust of a 16th century Dubrovnik notable (Miho Pracat) who left the city a lot of money. His is the only public sculpture celebrating a Dubrovnikian(?!). Does that mean that there were not many worthy people from Dubrovnik over the centuries?
