Chinese New Year
There was a great carnival atmosphere for the New Year celebrations. All very garish, but lots of fun & all free to walk around & enjoy.
Most of these photos are taken on or by the Floating Pontoon in the bay.

The Pontoon Illuminations were great. The only mistake I made was that I saw Durian ice cream being sold as a speciality & not knowing what Durians are, I thought I would try some. Bad choice. For the rest of the evening I could not get rid of the awful smell. Too late I noticed signs on the metro (see photo at bottom of this page).
