On the last night in St Petersburg a group of us went to a Russian Folk Dance evening at the local Nikolayevsky Palace. It was a fun and very entertaining, with a champagne break in the interval.

The show was put on by Feel Yourself Russian

The evening started with an impressive harmony group singing traditional unaccompanied ballads. I have a short video here.

Needless to say lots of different types of dances with very colourful costumes.
