Sidi Bou Said
A delightful little town just outside Tunis.
An old Door – incorporating a latch door. The upper left knocker is for male visitors. The upper right knocker is for female visitors and the lower one is for children. Each knocker gives a different sound – very organised!
If you get an ice ream here in the touristy market area – eat it quickly before it melts, as we found out to our consternation.
The black and white motif round the arch is typically ottoman in style.
It is very tiring going round Sidi Bou Said as it is very hilly
