Old Postcards
These are some old postcards of Amalfi & Capri from the early 1950’s that my Dad kept when he visited the Amalfi coast with my mother & my older brother (I was too young to travel then & was left behind in Malta in the care of an aunt). He was particularly taken with the polymath Axel Munthe’s (1857 – 1949) Villa San Michele in Anacapri & so were Ann & I. His “Story of San Michele” was a worldwide phenomena in its time. My Dad’s original paperback edition has most of its pages falling out of their bindings.
