Agapia Monastery

This 17th century monastery is one of the largest nunneries in Romania, having over 300 nuns housed in the exclusive surrounding village.
Though an Orthodox church, the internal decorations by the 19th century Nicolae Grigorescu broke with tradition and are in the western Italianate style. I took no photos inside as there was a service in progress when we visited.
