Costa Rica is a small but very varied country, from the Caribbean coast to the more interesting Pacific coast and from the lush valleys to the high rain forests. Certainly there is plenty to see and experience.
Except for arriving & departing the capital, San Jose, our holiday really consisted of a couple of night’s stay in each half a dozen National Park areas. In most cases the lodges or hotels we had were great, being built and sited in sympathy with the local environment.
