Piedras Blancas

We stayed in a particularly delightful eco-lodge (Esquinas Rainforest Eco Lodge) with a lot of local fauna. Maybe the Caiman was a bit too close to the open restaurant! The night safari here was particularly interesting, coming very close to a Fer-De-Lance snake which we had to back away from slowly.
It rained particularly hard over one night and as our lodge was next to a small pond all the frogs started mating – very loudly. I had to use ear-plugs to get to sleep.
The resident Cayman, yards from where we ate.
