We loved staying at the Monteverde Cloud Forest Lodge, in the middle of the Tilaran mountains, with nature coming to our doorstep. No wonder one of the first things we were told was to keep our cabin doors & windows closed otherwise the local scavengers will rampage through our belongings.

The Lodge had several bird-feeders by the bar area, so you could photograph the Hummingbirds while having a drink (or two… – clever marketing!)
