Yet another internal flight took us to Hanoi & then a 3.5 hour drive for an overnight stay in a Halong Bay hotel before a cruise the following day & then a return back to Hanoi. Hanoi is quite a mixture of styles and cultures with the American War (we call it the Vietnam War) ending in 1975 figuring prominently in many ways.
