Eat your heart out Lenin, this one is bigger & the square its in is larger than Moscow’s Red Square as well. Still a ludicrous folly in my humble opinion. But not just my opinion. A recent CNN report listed the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum among ten of “the world’s ugliest buildings”.

The nearby homes and working areas of Ho Chi Minh himself were particularly evocative of the era – restrained, functional and they had a certain pure beauty about them.

Wreaths were given by civic leaders, workers unions & companies. There was a very long queue of locals to enter.
