The Olgas / Kata Tjuta

The area is sacred under Aborigine men’s law, under which details of many stories associated with Kata Tjuta are only known to initiated men.

Our guide was careful to ensure we all have enough water. He spelt out the problems with dehydration & pointed out that though satellites & astronauts are often 300 Km above the earth, the nearest hospital, if we need one, is 400 Km away. Not that reassuring really.

The Valley of the Winds, luckily for us was not too windy on our visit. An interesting area to explore with a changing scenery at every turn. The sunset was great, helped by a few glasses of bubbly!
