Opened in 2002, the Franjo Tudman Bridge spans the entrance to the Rijeka Dubrovacka Inlet and is an impressive slender bridge.

Gruz is Dubrovnik’s main harbour. Obviously the one in the Old City can’t cope with the volume of shipping, nor the ocean going liners.

At the far end of the Rijeka Dubrovacka Inlet the Ragusan nobility used to have their Summer villas. Unfortunately none now remain though one of the old estates has now been turned into a yachting marina.
