Bavaria
With such alpine views and quaint buildings, wealthy Bavaria is one of the most beautiful areas in Germany.
Oberammergau is obviously known for the Passion Plays mounted every 10 years.
The Wieskirche has a spectacular Rococo interior and is yet another UNESCO World Heritage site that we visited in Bavaria.
This is eye candy par excellence!

The Alps were always in the background in our stay in southern Bavaria
All the Bavarian villages we visited were a delight to wander through.
