Oberammergau
Oberammergau is a small town known worldwide for producing a Passion Play every 10 years where half the 2,000 local inhabitants take part attracting about 500,000 tourists for the events. Since 1680, it has been performed every 10 years in years which end in the digit zero, i.e. 2020, 2030, etc.
It is also known for its highly decorated buildings.

Walking into the town on its outskirts we noticed this innocuous looking small church overshadowed by Kofel, Oberammergau’s Signature Mountain. I thought it might be equally plain inside – but I was wrong!
