Just outside Havana is the huge National Botanical Gardens. 1,500 is a lot of garden! I think we were the only tour group visiting at the time, unless, because of its size, we just did not see any other visitors.
We had an enthusiastic guide, showing us the more interesting exhibits. The gardens are laid out by geographical zones - Americas, Africa, Asia, etc.
It is so large that we could not walk round; we were bussed round.
I am not sure what some of the plants were, but there were some very pretty & unusual ones on display.
The Bombax is the State Flower of Cuba.
