Greece 2000 – Tiryns
Tiryns is an ancient fort of immense size, just outside Naplion. The walls are some 8m high & wide. In mythology, it is the birthplace of Heracles.

Eleanor deciding to sacrifice John – but then miraculously brought back to life by the Gods.

At Tiryns we were the only tourists on the site. I think the extreme heat kept many away. It was a similar story at most of the sites we visited (except the Acropolis!) as you can see in the photos.

A vaulted gallery. Not bad seeing as how it is some 3,000 years old.
